Advertising is powerful tool used to get consumers to buy a product. A successful ad campaign can make you want to buy almost anything. Many candidates today use famous images to enrich their campaign advertising as well as use the past to make them seem creditable.

Assignment: You are to create a poster in Adobe Photoshop using a current famous advertising image  and one of the presidential candidates, either John McCain or Barrack Obama . You must include one campaign issue in the poster that will tie in with the advertisement.

(Make sure to check that what you choose is acceptable)

Using Photoshop and the famous ad, recreate an updated version of this ad using your candidate and one of the issues that you feel is the most important to you.

• Dimensions: 8.5 X 11 paper, resolution: 150, Background: Set to White.
• Requirements: 2 photographic images from the web only-1 must be your candidate
• Redraw the logo for candidate using Photoshop tools
• Include campaign slogan used by candidate
• Use one campaign issue that you strongly agree with to highlight in this poster- use text.
• All other images and effects must be drawn or created in Photoshop

Print a copy to turn into me to grade, and write out evaluation.

Evaluation

• In a word document paste a copy of the original advertisement and your completed project
• compare and contrast how your new design is alike to the advertising image and how they are different
• discuss why you chose this issue for the advertisement and why it is important to you
• Discuss what worked well for you, what you would do differently
